About the project. Free audio lessons for students in grades 7-11 on the Ukrainian language and literature, civic education, world history, and the history of Ukraine.
More than 500 audio lessons have already been released, reaching 500,000 listens on various podcasting platforms. We currently have more than 7,000 followers on social media and podcast platforms.
The duration of each lesson is about 20 minutes.
You can follow the new audio lessons and project news releases on Instagram.
Audio lessons will be helpful for those who:
- have listened and want to catch up on the curriculum;
- are abroad and seek to maintain contact with the Ukrainian education system;
- have well-developed hearing but poor eyesight.
Also, teachers can give audio lessons for homework to better learn topics.
To create the project, ‘Smart Osvita’ engaged a team of three methodologists to develop the methodology of audio lessons. For this purpose, child and family psychologist Svetlana Roiz also consults.
Before the lessons, teachers prepare small tasks: tests, and questions and offer to write essays on specific topics. Students can enter their e-mail addresses on the page with audio lessons and attach a text file with the completed work. After that, experienced writing teachers provide feedback to the children. These recommendations are not evaluative but aimed at improving students’ writing skills.
Audio lessons are also available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, NV Podcast, and MEGOGO. They can be downloaded and listened to even without the Internet.
The goal of the project. To help students learn in a convenient format. The advantage of an audio lesson is that you can study when the standard text and video formats are not allowed, not only at a table or desk. You can do it on a train or bus while walking or lying in bed.
